'Music was my first love, and it will be my last', well, that's definitely true for me. Long before I undiscovered the beauty of female attraction, arts and good food, I perceived the emotional excitement of good music. I grew up with progressive rock in the 70s with the likes of Pink Floyd, Genesis and Supertramp. Beginning of the 80s Philly Sound brought me to Soul and Funk. The Street Sounds Collection opened my mind for Disco Music and House. Inspired by the beatmixing Mixtapes of the DMC (Disco Mix Club) in the early 80s I decided to start a DJ career, which I unfortunately was forced to stop after a few weeks. I had my first residency in the club ‘Veritas’ in Neuss for owner Dieter Scharper. They did not understand the concept of beatmixing at those days and refused to provide Technics 1200 or Thorens turntables. Instead, they forced me to play with Panasonic turntables without a pitch option, degraded me to a jukebox. I kicked the job after three weeks and focused on a business career.
In 2005, after years of inspiring party events on Ibiza, me and my wife created the party circle 'privatemonkey.com' to bring a high level electronic and 'non posh' party to Düsseldorf. Booking the DJs for this event for more than a decade developed my music expertise and brought me back to the place behind the Mixer in 2015, when a friend asked me to perform for his new party event.
Since then, I developed my DJ skills and performed numerous times for several popular local clubs and events including Club102, Silq, PrivateMonkey, Oh Baby Anna, Meshugge Bar, La Rocca, Schwarz and many more.
I am usually booked to play melodic deephouse and techno sounds around 120-125 bpm, but I feel very comfortable playing 125-130 bpm peak time techno or a nice chillout afternoon as well.
